Hello, and welcome to my website! I’m a Korean-American voice actor and audiobook narrator. I started voice acting over a decade ago and have loved bringing my own energy and life to some of my favorite characters. Between audiobooks and anime, both worlds have allowed me to use my dynamic voice to perform nihilistic villains, secret investigators, and the cute and loving characters that I’m often known for.

In animation and dubbing, I’ve provided the English voice for characters in many popular shows including Origami Tobiichi from Date A Live, Sumire Hara from Assassination Classroom, Kurona Yasuhisa from Tokyo Ghoul, and Junko Hokaze in A Certain Scientific Railgun, just to name a few. You can even hear my voice across titles including Fairy Tail, My Hero Academia, One Piece, and Attack on Titan.

In the publishing world (where I get to do all the voices!), I’ve narrated titles ranging from historical fiction such as The Red Palace by June Hur for Listening Library, to literary criticism like Snape: The Definitive Analysis of Hogwart’s Mysterious Potions Master by Lorrie Kim for Tantor Media. You’ll also find me working with independent authors and across the romance genre, as I did under my pseudonym Emery Erickson in Through the Ashes by Julia Wolf. Click here for books narrated as Michelle, and here for books narrated as Emery.

Between my acting training and love for stories, I’ve developed my own style and approach as an actress that’s made recording each of my roles and books both a personal and fun process. Reviewers have celebrated the emotional range in my performances and the specificity of my character choices, and I’m always ready to take on a new project or role where I can dig into interesting characters and tell a story with great cast members.

As I keep performing in anime, I’m excited to be cast in the type of sweet and warm roles that I’ve performed before, but I deeply enjoy reaching down deep to play twisted and unexpected characters. For audiobooks, I’ve used my natural voice range and conversational Korean to tell a variety of stories and I’m excited to keep expanding my range, particularly across fantasy, romance, and young adult titles.

My world doesn’t only exist in front of the microphone! I love great food and often share some of my favorite meals on Instagram. I’m also an enormous fan of romance books and make the time to read or listen to them whenever I can. Whether you’re sitting down to watch an anime or kicking back with an audiobook, I’m hoping that you’ll hear me soon!
